David Miller
South african top model David Miller tells us about his passions and proyects.
What do you think of Tous Man Sport?
It’s very unique and fresh. The first time I saw TOUS MAN SPORT, on the day of the shoot, I thought “how modern”.
I really liked the color and shape of the bottle. Then I tried it. It really suits me. The bottle looks good but wow!! It’s amazing!! It’s really unique, full of personality and with a touch of freshness. Love it.
How do you identify with the fragrance?
Mainly with its freshness and modernity. I mean TOUS MAN SPORT is fresh, informal, and spontaneous and that allows you to be you when you wear it and I really like that. Also, it’s so modern. It’s a perfume with a definite style. I think its style, colors and scent reveal a modern man who’s open-minded and spontaneous. I think I’m a bit like that.

When is a fragrance a must-have?
For me, at all times of the day. I think that nowadays fragrance is part of the basic daily beauty routine for all of us. There is a fragrance that you can identify with and that you want everybody else to identify with you. And day after day you feel good with that perfume. For sure, it’s always a good thing to smell fresh and feel unique. But of course, for a date with that special someone, I always use my favorite fragrance.
Now tell me something about yourself: What is your passion?
My passion is traveling. I feel very lucky to be a model where I get to travel and see the world. One day I’m on a shoot in New York and the next on a shoot in Europe. I feel very fortunate to be in this situation.
What are your hobbies?
I like photography and graphic design. I like outdoor sports: surfing, snowboarding… When I’m in South Africa, I do a lot of surfing. But I try to make the best of wherever I am. If I’m in the mountains, snowboarding and if I’m by the Ocean, surfing.
I don’t get much free time because in my profession I’ve got to travel a lot. The best of all of this for me is being with my family. Maybe it’s because they live far away from me, but for me a perfect day would be to be with my parents, grandparents and especially with my new nephew who’s just 8 month’s old.
Your mantra is “success is what you do for others”. How do you keep up with such a demanding industry without “losing yourself”?
I think that life passes by and what remains is what you’ve done for others. I’m really lucky because I enjoy what I do for a living. But to keep your feet on the ground it’s important to remember where you come from and your family and friends. More than anything, it’s important to do things for others and not just for yourself. That way, you’re not the centre of your universe and that makes you a better person.
Who do you admire?
I identify with Nelson Mandela because of his strength and character. He fights for what he believes in.
